“SCCCC Teams Up with Local Talent to Celebrate Aging with Style”

Sheffield Churches Council for Community Care (SCCCC), a leading charity dedicated to supporting older people, is thrilled to announce an exciting new collaboration with talented local illustrator, Tasha Wright and sustainable Sheffield-based business BIDBI. This partnership aims to create a unique range of merchandise that celebrates the joy of getting older and living life out loud.

The new merchandise line was the brainchild of the Partner Relations Manager at BIDBI, Dan Laver. The company that prints ethical and sustainable goods including bags and clothing has been at the forefront of eco-friendly production for well over a decade.

Dan said: “I have got to know about the incredible work of SCCCC over the years and wanted to offer them the opportunity to try something new. The collaboration was the ideal chance to shout about their ethos of focusing on what older people can do, not what they can’t.”

The range will feature unique, vibrant and uplifting designs that reflect the spirit of positivity and resilience among older adults. From stylish apparel to practical accessories, each item is crafted to inspire and empower individuals to embrace their age with pride and enthusiasm.

The whimsical and heart-warming artwork, has created exclusive designs that capture the essence of aging gracefully and joyfully. Tasha Wright is a Yorkshire-based illustrator who was introduced to the charity via Dan Laver. Tasha said: 'I was so thrilled when Dan invited me onto this project! The concept is wonderful and has been so much fun to capture. It’s been an amazing experience to put my pen and paper to good use to support the brilliant work of SCCCC’'

“We are incredibly excited about this collaboration,” said Ericka Hill, Fundraiser, Marketing and Communications Officer at SCCCC. “Our goal is to challenge stereotypes about aging and show that life can be vibrant and fulfilling at any age. This merchandise line is a wonderful way to celebrate our older community members and support our mission.”

Proceeds from the merchandise sales will directly support SCCCC’s free services, helping to enhance the lives of older people in the community.
