If you would like to help us to support older people in Sheffield and Doncaster, you could donate property, shares, or valuables to SCCCC so we can continue to deliver a comprehensive range of care services.
We strongly recommend that you seek professional advice from a qualified advisor before making this decision.
Donating property and valuables
You can donate property and valuables to SCCCC, which can be sold to support our work with older people. If you would like to do so, please get in touch with our fundraiser Ericka Hill on 0114 250 5293 or email ericka.hill@scccc.co.uk
Donate in Celebration
Asking for donations instead of gifts on special occasions in your life is a fantastic and inspiring way of marking your special occasion, while donating to SCCCC. Donating via a wedding or civil partnership is becoming a popular way for couples to fundraise for their favourite charity, especially when they feel they already have everything they need for married life. Invite guests to make charity donations by setting up an online donation page or hand out SCCCC Gift Aid envelopes at the ceremony. If your birthday, anniversary, or christening is coming up, why not share it with us? We can provide you with SCCCC Gift Aid envelopes and collection boxes along with leaflets about our work to ensure our message reaches more people.
If you would like more information or to order donation materials, please contact the fundraising team on 0114 250 5293 or email mail@scccc.co.uk
Donating to SCCCC through Your Salary
A quick and easy way of making a donation to us is by giving a regular monthly amount through your salary. You can donate whatever you can afford, from just £1.00 per month.
Why Give Through Your Pay?
Donating via your salary costs you less and is tax-free. The donation is taken from gross pay before tax deductions, and HM Revenue & Customs then gives us the tax that they would have received from your pay.
This means that an SCCCC donation of:
Donation amount
20% Tax bracket
40% Tax bracket
£5
You pay £4
You pay £3
£10
You pay £8
You pay £6
£20
You pay £16
You pay £12
How to donate
Simply ask your HR or Payroll department whether your employer has a Payroll Giving Scheme. If there is a Scheme in place then all you need to do is complete our payroll giving form and return it to us at:
SCCCC, Unit 19 President Buildings, Savile Street East, SHEFFIELD, S4 7UQ
If your employer does not yet have a Payroll Giving Scheme, they can visit www.gov.uk/payroll-giving website for more information.
If you leave your current job, your regular donation to SCCCC will stop. However, if you would like to continue to support our charity for older people, just re-sign up with your new employer.
Did you know that you can also donate to SCCCC through your pension?
Your work pension provider can help you to set it up before any tax is deducted.

Making donations go further
Gift Aid is a scheme operated by HMRC that allows charities to claim the basic rate tax on donations from UK taxpayers. This means that your donations will be worth 25% more to us but at no additional cost to you. For example, if you donate £100 to SCCCC, you could actually be giving us £125. This will make a big difference to our fundraising efforts, at no extra cost to our donors.

Higher Rate Taxpayers and Gift Aid
You can claim the difference between the higher rate of tax you pay and the basic rate of tax (currently 20 per cent) on the total ‘gross’ value of your donation. If you want to receive the additional tax relief, you must include your Gift Aid donations on your Self-Assessment tax return or ask HMRC to adjust your tax code.
